How to make things complex in life?

This is something no one needs training on. People are born with this innate capability to complicate things. Its like a new bacteria has broken into the human mind which does not have a cure. Gone are the days when simplicity used to be a preferred choice.

Sometimes when I think, I feel it was better when cavemen used a club to knock out his lady love (Ouch ! but it worked !!). Now- a- days, they have emails, chats, smses, phone calls, dates... (the list keeps on increasing) and yet conveniently enough, each technology finds a reason to reject the prospect (what a heart- break !). Not only is it time consuming, you are also spoilt for choice (remember how it is when you are in a super-market and cannot make up your mind which shampoo to buy). The greener grass on the other side keeps tempting us. So, the real question should be- how to un-complicate.

In order to reach a solution, we need to understand why we arrived at the problem statement in the first place. So if the issue is getting a girlfriend, we need to ask ourselves- why do I need a girlfriend (we are past puberty, of course !). Is it just the hormonal changes? The peer pressure (everybody has a girlfriend !)? Or the most unlikely case of actually being in love?

The 'In love' phase can be delirious. I still don't understand which is more advisable- to grow to love somebody around you or to love someone and try to grow with them? Would you prefer convenience over risk? (I'm kinda losing track of what I'm writing here :/ ). In caveman terms, I'd say 'convenience' but then we are people of the new age, with the incurable bacteria of complexity !

After having a series of undesirable mishaps, we ironically settle for 'convenience' and then realize it was a choice all along ! Although giving in to 'convenience' is a risk no one is initially prepared to take (deep thoughts...).

What we should again notice, though, is that 'convenience' is confused with lazy. I think, they are totally different entities. You might have to work hard to be with someone you are actually comfortable with.

Robert needs to mow his lawn. He takes the risk and hires a teenager who does shabby work and dumps the residue in the backyard. Now Robert has to deal with his bad lawn and the garbage menace. A convenient option would have been for him to get up his lazy ass and do the work himself !

What most people do not realize is that 'convenience' can be good for you. We just need an open mind to embrace the fact that SIMPLE SOLUTIONS EXIST !

So honey, there was really no necessity to spend a sleepless night in anticipation before an interview (do the right thing- PREPARE !) or to try on 15 dresses before you settle on the regular black dress that is known to make you look savvy.

Needless to say, I choose the caveman mind-set over risk- taking Robert. Knock me out !!
