An Ode To Life Experiences

How many times have you, seen a man on the streets,

And thought, “I wonder, what’s his story?”

How many times have you, beat up yourself

Over the lapse of reason, that was momentary

How many times have you, in an adrenalin rush

Taken decisions that were doomed to fail

How many times have you, without even trying

On a stroke of luck, have had a smooth sail

Something funny, tragic, or something very small.

A little lesson, a big trick, or with no moral at all.

The past will always be, where your today flows from

Things that would shape your future are yet to come

(No pun intended, well maybe a little!)

It’s not easy for anybody, it’s never a bed of roses

But another door opens, when this one closes

(Again, no pun intended)

No one gets everything, let’s make our peace with that

And life is beautiful, if you give it a good look- at

There will be more screw- ups, let us drink to that

(Water, not whiskey! Stay hydrated)

If you want another chance, next life- be a cat!

(You know with the nine lives and all… meow!)
