What We Sow

Sometimes it flows easily, like a running train that knows which track it must adhere to; other times, we must pave the road as we walk, scarcely aware of the journey or the destination.

A lot of things are not yet clear to me, some trivial like- what colours are flattering on me, some existential like- what is my purpose in life, and some critical like- what financial investments should I be making?

It is with great confusion, I must report that I am none the wiser on any of them despite my age. It does get overwhelming at times and anxiety attacks wake me up at night. But honestly, are we supposed to know it all? So even if I am not sure about the good financial decisions, at this point I am content not making any bad ones.

Baby steps.

One thing I am absolutely certain about is- clean living and good health. I have spoken about the arrogance of youth before, and much like debt and spending above your means, all poor choices for your health will come back to bite you after 40. Just you wait.

People seem to forget actions have consequences. It might not be immediately evident, but Karma takes detailed notes and when the repercussions are dished out, we cry bloody murder, forgetting that we sowed the seeds, we watered this crop and now its time to harvest.

Blessed are the people who are kind and stay away from gossip and drama. A life of peace is much more enjoyable than all other bounty. Take notes.
